Gabi + Brandon / Oregon Coast Day After Shoot / Oregon Coast Wedding Photographer

Posted on Posted in Engagements, Uncategorized, Weddings

Gabi and Brandon are photographers themselves, currently traveling the country in their freaking awesome air stream. They were willing to get dressed up with me again in Manzanita, Oregon for an an intimate day after photo session. I couldn't have asked for better weather for wedding photography on the coast in November, I can't believe we actually saw the sun!

Enjoy these two and their amazing style!

Dulce+ Tonda / Diamond B Weddings / Montana Wedding Photographer

Life has a funny way of leading you to awesome people through roundabout means. I worked with Dulce and the McConnell Mansion last year for a personal project and I knew right off the bat we were gonna be buds. After connecting about our mutual love (more like unabashed obsession) with dogs and little furry things, Dulce introduced me to the Board of the Humane Society of the Palouse, of which we're now both members.

More recently, my husband and I had the chance to take a weekend and camp with Dulce and Tonda in Southern Idaho during the solar eclipse. Spending that time with them meant a lot to me. Getting to watch the way they interact and the ways they show their adoration for each other was simply the most perfect thing to be around for someone as obsessed with love as myself. The way Dulce can just shoot Tonda a look and he knows exactly what she's trying to tell him. The way Tonda laid next to Dulce while she was napping in the tent one afternoon, not necessarily because he was tired, but simply because he wanted to be near her. The way Tonda talked about their wedding plans the way a little boy talks about his presents on Christmas morning. If I only took one thing away from that weekend trip (other than the absolutely life-changing awesomeness of a total solar eclipse), it's that these two are truly out-of-their-minds in love with each other.

Getting to know Dulce and Tonda better this year has been so awesome for me, and I had such a blast capturing their big day. Thunderstorms, rainbows, and a certain pie-loving black pup named Moose made it one of the most amazing wedding I've ever had the privilege of documenting. Enjoy!

Marika + Tony / Lindsay Creek Vineyards Wedding / Lewiston Wedding Photographer

Posted on Posted in Weddings

When you boat down the river running through Hell's Canyon, and the wind sprays the water on your face, and you see a Rocky Mountain Ram in the distance, it's easy fall in love. From a distance, the canyon walls look shabby and brown, perhaps even dull, but once you're going down the river, sipping Redds and Pabst Blue Ribbon, it's not long before you're taken aback by the staggering amount of life and lush greenery within the canyon.

Marika and Tony fell in love working for Idaho Fish and Game, hiking and winding their way through the mountains of Idaho, and Hells Canyon. When we finally came to Garden Creek Ranch, words don't do this place justice. Tony had worked here in the summers, keeping the property safe from wildfires and maintaining it's rough beauty. There's no road that leads here, only a small dock at the far end of the property. The fact that Marika and Tony chose it as the site for their ceremony, speaks so much about them and what they adore in their lives.

Deer wandered in and out throughout the day, and wild turkeys were chasing our golf cart as we rode around the property. I don't think I can describe the magic that is Garden Creek Ranch, so I'll let the photos take you there! After the ceremony, everyone met back at the always amazing Lindsay Creek Vineyards in Lewiston, ID to sip wine and dance the night away.

Coryelle + Weston / Davenport Hotel Wedding / Spokane Wedding Photographer

One of the things I've always loved about horses is how they manage to bring people from completely different walks of life together. There's something so evocative about the smell of hay in the loft, the feel of a horse's mane under your fingers, and the whisper of whiskers on your neck.

Coryelle and Weston met playing Polo, and I can't stress how awesome it was to be around fellow horse people for their engagement session and their wedding. Horses will always be a huge part of both of their lives, and it was completely reflected in their venue at the Spokane Polo Club. Some notable mentions include: their Blue Heelers as ring bearers, Coryelle almost losing her bouquet to a hungry pony, Weston playing Polo at his own wedding, and last but not least, capturing these two and their beautiful smiles, with eyes full of fun and laughter.

Amber + Dominic / Red Barn Farms Wedding / Palouse Wedding Photographer

Posted on Posted in Weddings

Amber and Dominic used to pass each other in the halls, occasionally exchanging glances. A few shared quiet looks, plenty of laughs, and one large classroom at Boise State University later, they started dating. Amber grew up here on the Palouse in Washington, and didn't let her new Boise roots deter her from getting married in her hometown. Dominic's big Italian family flew in from all over. Their wedding day was stunning, beginning at Amber's family farm and ending at Red Barn Farms in Colton, WA. Between their sense of humor and Amber's bubbly personality, it's impossible not to smile around these two!

Dominic couldn't keep his eyes off Amber all day. Everything was absolutely perfect.

Ryan + Sam / Red Rock State Park Elopement / Sedona Wedding Photographer

Have you ever heard of Sedona? When I was first planning my trip here, I hadn't. Sedona is in the middle of Arizona, in a little tourist-y town that reminds me surprisingly of Coeur d'Alene. There is an amazing Juice shop on main street, and all the coffee shops and restaurants have this amazing view of some of the most beautiful rock formations I've ever seen.

Ryan and Sam have been traveling for awhile now, and it was fitting they chose such a beautiful backdrop for their elopement. Sam had such an infectious personality, it was impossible not to laugh while she was telling you about her adventures. Ryan is a calm, steady guy who enjoys drone photography and In-and-Out Burger. It's funny when you see two people next to each other, and somehow they both become MORE because of the other one. You get that feeling immediately from Ryan and Sam, and it was amazing watching them light each other up in Sedona.

It's so obvious Logan and Ryan are such a great match for each other. They both have such fun loving, easy going personalities and they are great at making each other laugh. I always think you've found your soulmate when that person can make you laugh no matter what, and that's what Ryan and Logan are! The day started rainy but the clouds parted just in time for their ceremony and first look. I hope the sun always shines on them for their happily ever after! Congratulations Ryan and Logan!

Letty + Nathaniel / N-Sid-Sen Campground Wedding / Coeur d’ Alene Wedding Photographer

Posted on Posted in Weddings

It's hard to describe the beauty that N-Sid-Sen Campground holds. My couples who get married there are drawn to it long after they've spent summers there. Deer wander through the camp, the log cabins are rustic and homey, and the woods around the camp feel comforting and tranquil. It was so fitting for Letty and Nathaniel to choose this place, not only because Letty's family had spent so much time there, but also because Letty and Nathaniel have been nothing but welcoming, warm, and full of adventure, since I met them. They have such a great energy together, and their day was full of so much love for each other and all of their guests. It was such an honor to be a part of their day, and I'm excited to show off some of the images!

I couldn't have chosen a more magical location for Mark and Leanne's gorgeous Teton wedding. It was truly a winter wonderland, and Mark and Leanne (both active military, thank you for your service!) had so much love for one another it absolutely shone through on their day. Add their three lovely dogs and it was absolutely perfect. Enjoy this epitome of a winter wedding!

Clara + Chelsea / Meadowinds Wedding / Same-Sex Wedding / Moscow Wedding Photographer

Starbucks is for coffee, cappuccinos, and meet-cutes. Clara and Chelsea met while brewing coffee together, and they fell for each other while sharing their love of cats, backpacking, and the arts.

It’s no secret Meadowinds is one of my favorite wedding venues, I got married there myself! The sunset on the hill the castle rests on is always breathtaking, but not as breathtaking as the connection these two have.
